EQUIPMENT, GASES & LOGISTICS FOR TEC TRAINING

As a technical diver, precision planning, equipment familiarity, and gas management are essential. During your Tec training you'll gain practical competence in:

  • Twinset & sidemount configuration management

  • Backup gas systems & redundancy planning

  • O₂ cleaning procedures & gas-handling protocols

  • Decompression bottle selection & reliable stage rigging

  • Gas-switching discipline & verification routines

  • Gas-mixing principles including Trimix blending & analysis

  • Use of dive computers for Tec profiles and multi-gas switching

  • Emergency gas-sharing drills & equipment failure simulations

You’ll work directly with experienced instructors who guide you through best-practice methodologies used by professional deep divers around the world.

PREREQUISITES FOR TEC TRAINING & CANDIDATE PROFILE

To get the most from your Tec pathway, candidates should ideally:

  • Already be comfortable in the water with solid buoyancy & trim
  • Have recent diving experience in varied conditions
  • Be proactive with planning, awareness, and situational control
  • Be willing to operate within strict procedural discipline
  • Have a mindset focused on precision, teamwork, and safety
  • Understand that Tec is a step-by-step progression — not a race

If you’re unsure where you fit within the Tec ladder, just ask — we’ll help you determine the right starting point, whether that’s Tec 40 or directly into Tec 45 / Tec 50 depending on experience.
